Ari Hollander
Ari has been a pioneer in VR technology for over 20 years and this demands a wide variety of expertise. His talents and creativity span from the hard-sciences in astrophysics (B.A. UC Berkeley) and human peception (M.S. University of Washington), to game development at LucasArts, Microsoft and Firsthand. Ari has authored multiple patents, served as technical lead or P.I. on over $5M of grant-funded research projects and has been instrumental in starting four companies.
As CTO of DeepStream VR, Ari is the creative and technical force behind our software products and an expert in the hardware to run them.
Ari comes from a family of artists, scientists and circus performers and was awarded his first gold record at age 21.
Howard Rose
Howard has been a leader in the VR industry for over 20 years. From his early days in VR R&D for education, Howard has been breaking new ground and developing a vision for how VR can enhance people’s lives. His project portfolio includes immersive VR applications for therapy, augmented reality surgical training, mobile apps and interactive museum exhibits.
As CEO of DSVR, Howard takes the lead on trailblazing the future of the company as a leader in VR healthcare. Beyond having a deep understanding of the theory behind VR in healthcare, Howard also brings a unique, creative edge to craft powerful experiences that achieve meaningful measurable outcomes.
Howard is a frequent invited speaker at conferences on virtual reality, games and health.
Dan Shapiro
Dan is a leading expert in artificial intelligence applications and games. He brings over 30 years experience directing large ($8M) and small research projects on autonomous agents and their component technologies including perception, reasoning, machine learning, and adaptive control. Dan holds an M.S. and PhD in Management Science and Engineering (Stanford), a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence (MIT), and a Bachelor’s in Chemistry (UCSC).
As Chief Scientist at DeepStream VR, Dan applies his broad knowledge of AI and application technologies to develop user-adaptive experiences for pain relief.
Dan has been a performing dancer and a prize-winning grower of giant vegetables. Dan developed the first ever machine-learning system for watering competitive pumpkins.
